How do I get paid?+
Monthly via PayPal, on the 1st of each month. We pay all approved commissions whose 30-day clearing window has passed and whose total is above your minimum payout threshold (default $50).
How is attribution calculated?+
Last-click attribution with a 60-day cookie. If a vendor clicks your link and signs up within 60 days — even after seeing other partners' links — you get the credit. Cookies are first-party only; we don't use third-party tracking pixels.
What counts as a conversion?+
Two layers. First, a signup is recorded when someone creates a vendor account through your link. Second, a paying conversion (and your first commission) is recorded when that vendor makes their first paid invoice — usually after their 14-day trial.
What if a referred vendor cancels?+
Within 30 days of a payment (the clearing window), the commission is reversed. After 30 days, it's locked in. If a chargeback happens later, that specific commission is reversed and may be deducted from your next payout.
How long do I earn on a referral?+
Default is 12 months from the first paid invoice. Negotiated partners may have different terms (lifetime, 24 months, or first-payment-only) — check your dashboard. Renewals beyond your duration cap are not commissioned.
Can I run paid ads?+
Yes, with limits: no bidding on "VendBuddy" or close variants in search ads, no incentivized clicks ("click my link, win a card"), no spam, no misleading creative. The full prohibited-promotion list is in the partner agreement.
Can I use multiple links or domains?+
You have one tracking code per partner account. You can append UTM parameters to track your own analytics. If you want a custom slug, email partners@vendbuddy.app.
Do I need a W-9?+
Only if you're a US partner who has earned $600+ in a calendar year. Below that, no tax form is required to apply or get paid. We'll prompt you for a W-9 before crossing the threshold.
What's the difference between an application and an invite?+
Applications are open to anyone — you sign up and we manually review. Invites are pre-approval codes we send to specific creators we want to work with; activating one auto-approves your account so you can start sharing immediately.
